THE COLLEGE SPORTS ASSOCIATION
Objective:
The college sports association is a multi-sport association (1901 law), affiliated with the National Union of School Sports (UNSS), all college students can participate.
The association aims to organize and develop the practice of sports activities, learning about associative life, practicing ethics and respect for all.
Every year we try to welcome as many students as possible either during lunch time or at special events.
Organization:
Membership is free and subject to an annual fee, currently €25, which gives the right to participate in all activities scheduled throughout the year.
The association operates during lunch time as follows:
• Table tennis: Monday from 1pm to 2pm and Tuesday from 12pm to 1pm for 6th/7th/8th graders at the college (Gymnasium)
• Cross-training: Monday and Thursday from 12pm to 1pm for 6th/7th/8th graders at the Serres Gymnasium
• Volleyball: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 1pm to 2pm for 9th graders and high school students at the high school.
During the year, students may participate in competitions that take place on Wednesday afternoons or in RAID events that also take place on Wednesdays but for the whole day. In this case, schedules and various details will be communicated through the correspondence notebook.
Event:
The departmental Cross is the main event of the Jeanne d'Arc sports association. Indeed, each year between 60 and 80 students participate in this race, with the goal of surpassing themselves.
It takes place over an afternoon and brings together more than 1000 middle school students, it is an opportunity to meet between colleges in the department.
Every student, whatever their level, can participate with their own objective: self-improvement, performance or simply, participation.
PE AT COLLEGE:
Organization and Objectives:
The purpose of PE at college is:
"Physical and sports education guarantees everyone access to a reasoned sports and artistic culture participating in a universal culture. It offers a sufficiently diverse field of practices (grouped into 8 categories) so that girls and boys build, together and equally, the same skills and varied and complementary knowledge within the framework of a common physical and sports culture" (Official Program).
The organization of PE at college is as follows:
• 4 hours of weekly teaching for 6th graders, spread over the week in 2 two-hour sessions. A different PSAA (physical sports and artistic activity) is offered in each session. Every quarter the PSAAs change. At the end of the school year, 6th grade students will have practiced 6 different PSAAs.
• 3 hours of weekly teaching for 7th/8th/9th graders, divided into one 2-hour weekly session and one 2-hour biweekly session. The same grouping of PSAAs is offered throughout the quarter. Students practice two activities per grouping and change each quarter, so they practice 6 different PSAAs per school year.
• All classes of the same level benefit from the same PSAA programming (see table below).
• End-of-cycle evaluations are common to the entire PE team, so students of the same level are evaluated with the same criteria.
• The axes of the PE educational project within Jeanne d'Arc college are as follows:
1- Develop and mobilize resources to enrich motor skills.
2- Adopt attitudes conducive to learning and progress.
3- Develop autonomy and responsibility for a responsible future athlete.
4- Promote mutual aid, tolerance and respect.
• The Sports Association takes place during lunch time (12pm-2pm) with competitions on Wednesday afternoons.
THE HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS ASSOCIATION
Presentation:
The Saint Louis Sports Association brings together the 2 high schools: St Louis High School and St François Vocational High School. It is a non-profit association under the 1901 law.
The association is affiliated with the National Union of School Sports (UNSS) and not with the General Union of Sports Education for Private Education (UGSEL) for a simple reason: we are the only private institution in the district and our objective is to offer our students maximum opportunities to participate in local events with other institutions.
Objectives:
The association aims to organize and develop the practice of sports activities, learning about associative life, practicing ethics and respect for all.
Each student can participate in the association and each can pursue a different objective (Competition, discovery, specialization). All students can participate in the association and each can pursue different objectives (leisure, competition, young official referee and coach).
Every year we try to energize and welcome as many students as possible either during lunch time (Volleyball, cross training) or at special events (Beach volleyball, raid, skiing).
PE AT HIGH SCHOOL:
Organization and Objectives:

"Physical and sports education aims to form, through physical, sports, and artistic practice, a fulfilled, cultured citizen, capable of making informed choices to engage regularly and autonomously in an active and supportive lifestyle."
Conditions of teaching in PE:
Organization of PE at St Louis High School according to Learning Fields (LF)
• 2 hours of weekly teaching for all classes.

• End-of-cycle evaluations are common to the PE team and are developed according to the new standards (by order of 17-1-2019 published in the special Official Bulletin No. 1 of January 22, 2019).
