JEANNE D’ARC MIDDLE SCHOOL

MIDDLE SCHOOL, AN IMPORTANT STAGE IN
YOUR CHILD’S EDUCATION

The Middle School Team: A dedicated team is here to ensure that your child experiences school life in the best possible conditions.

The Management Team: It consists of the Head of School, assisted by a Deputy Head. Together, they organize the school timetable (for students and teachers) and preside over class councils. They also ensure everyone’s safety.

The Head of Student Life (CPE): Working with the supervisors, the CPE manages daily life at school. They ensure compliance with school rules (attendance monitoring, behavior policy), participate in class councils, and train student representatives. As an important point of contact, they help facilitate communication between the educational team and parents.

The Homeroom Teacher: They play a key role in monitoring and supporting your child. They maintain communication between all teachers, the management team, and student life staff. In collaboration with the educational team, they guide your child in developing their educational and career goals.

The Teachers: A team of teachers guides your child through the various subjects, coordinated by the homeroom teacher.

 • Support success, especially in preparation for high school studies.
 • Improve rigor and study habits, while opening up to other ways of thinking and cultures that continue to influence our Mediterranean civilization today.

PERSONALIZED SUPPORT

In half-groups for French and Mathematics, personalized support addresses the specific needs of our students:
 • For academic reinforcement,
 • Or for enrichment and deepening knowledge.
It is a time for workshops, remediation, and discovery activities — an opportunity to “learn differently.”

COMMUNICATION WITH PARENTS

It is important to build a strong relationship between the school team and parents. Communication is essential for the child’s development.
While teachers are the subject specialists who make academic decisions, it is vital that you stay informed.

Our communication methods include:
 • One interim report (grades and comments) before the All Saints’ holiday.
 • Three term reports per year.
 • A class council review meeting with parent representatives at the end of each term.
 • An assessment council before the All Saints’ holiday for 6th grade classes.
 • A parent-teacher meeting at the end of November.

ECOLE DIRECTE

The digital learning platform “Ecole Directe” facilitates communication and access to information. You will find:
 • Grades
 • The class homework diary
 • Teacher comments after class councils
 • Term reports
 • Absences and tardiness
 • Disciplinary actions
 • Occasional announcements
You will receive a personal access code, different from your child’s.

Middle school covers grades 6 through 9 and provides a key transition from primary to high school. It is a time for students to strengthen their foundational knowledge, develop independence, and prepare for their future academic paths.
