OPTIONAL UNIT: SPORTS SECTOR

OBJECTIVES
The program provides a pathway leading to dual qualification: the professional baccalaureate in commerce and sales professions or the professional baccalaureate in reception professions, along with partial certification of the Professional Certificate for Youth, Popular Education, and Sports.

TARGET AUDIENCE
Students in the first year of the professional baccalaureate in commerce and sales or reception professions.

REQUIRED SKILLS
Having an interest in physical and sports activities is a major asset for success. Enjoying animation and having the ability to work in a team within a project-based approach are also essential.

CONTENT
The training is organized around the curriculum of the professional baccalaureate in commerce and sales professions and the professional baccalaureate in reception professions.
Professional activities in commerce and sales professions include welcoming, advising, and selling products and related services, contributing to sales follow-up, participating in customer loyalty and client relationship development. Students may prospect potential clients or contribute to the animation and management of a commercial unit to help build a lasting customer relationship. These activities apply to all types of organizations with commercial objectives or with a commercial service or customer relations department.

ADDITIONAL ACTIVITIES
Define objectives and adapt methods to various audiences while respecting the institution’s values.
Adapt to different stakeholders, work contexts, organizational modes, professional practices, and codes specific to the sports structure.
Understand the roles, places, and statuses of each participant in the structure. Provide first aid and basic emergency care. Prepare and plan cycles of physical, sports, and artistic activities.
Assist in leading activities related to early learning, discovery, recreation, fitness, and well-being. Organize the availability of equipment and secure practice areas.
Ensure group safety and compliance with regulations.
Demonstrate a sufficient level of practice to understand the effects of one’s actions on oneself, others, and the environment to design a project within a safe framework.

CERTIFICATION
Validation of the UF2S option is carried out through continuous assessment (CCF).

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
The UF2S option serves as a first step toward obtaining the Professional Certificate for Youth, Popular Education, and Sports, specialty “Sports Instructor”.
